The Omnipresence Strategy: Retargeting Done Right
By InoConnect Strategy Team •
The “Stalker” vs The “Guide”
Bad retargeting shows the same shoe ad 50 times in 2 days. This causes ad fatigue and brand resentment. Good retargeting tells a story.
The 3-Tier Sequence
Days 1-3: The “Logic” Phase (High Frequency)
They just visited. They are hot.
- Ad: “Why we are different.” (USP feature breakdown).
- Goal: Overcome logical objections.
Days 4-7: The “Social Proof” Phase (Medium Frequency)
They are considering but hesitating.
- Ad: Video testimonials, 5-star review carousel, or “Featured in Forbes” banner.
- Goal: Build trust. “Others like me bought this.”
Days 8-14: The “Offer” Phase (Low Frequency)
They are cooling off. Identify the fence-sitters.
- Ad: “10% Off” or “Last Chance for Bonus.”
- Goal: Urgency.
Cross-Platform Sync
Don’t just retarget on Facebook. If they engaged on LinkedIn, show them a YouTube pre-roll ad the next day. This creates the “Omnipresence Effect”—the illusion that you are a massive brand with an unlimited budget, simply because you are following them around the web.
Be everywhere, but be relevant.
