You must optimize for the user consuming your content on the platform (Google, LinkedIn, Twitter) without clicking to your site.
1. Own the Snippet
Structure your content so Google’s AI cites YOU.
- Use clear definitions: “What is X? X is…”
- Use distinct lists and tables.
2. Brand Authority > Pageviews
If someone reads your answer on Google and sees “Source: InoConnect,” that is a brand impression. When they continually see your brand as the source of truth, they will type your URL directly when they are ready to buy.
3. Move to “Un-Summarizable” Content
AI is great at summarizing facts. It is terrible at:
- Opinion / Strong Stands: “Why everyone is wrong about X.”
- Personal Narrative: “How we failed at Y.”
- Deep nuance: Complex strategy that requires human empathy.
Be the expert the AI quotes, not the commodity it replaces.
